Membership Information

Who Can Join

HCKT membership is open to anyone willing to undertake the required training, but the emphasis is on the development of junior paddlers (17 and under).

The junior program has three divisions:

• Bantam (13 and under)

• Juvenile (15 and under)

• Junior (17 and under)

Paddlers 18 and up compete on the senior level.

[2] Turn-in completed HCKT form and payment of $200 to the Head Coach.
[3] Complete U.S.A. Canoe and Kayak (USACK) Form. [ Download USACK Form ]
[4] Mail completed USACK form and payment of $25 (for athletes under 18 y.o.) or $55 (for athletes 18 and older) to:

*Juniors (ages 17 and under) are required to join U.S.A. Canoe Kayak membership.

Membership dues to be submitted within two weeks of the beginning of season/joining.

The official season is from November to August.

Non-membership programs:

Summer Program - beginning kayaking class
Hawaii Canoe/Kayak Team offers beginner kayaking classes for ages 11-16.
Start date is around June 16th to July 25th. Tentatively scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am to 10 am. 

Students will focus on mastering surf ski and Olympic K1 technique. This is an excellent precursor for ILH kayaking.

Cost: $100.00 plus a $25 insurance fee.
